Launched at the inaugural Backend Services Summit in 2023, the Backend Services Guild is a community for game studio backend engineers to meet, learn from each other, and have fun! It’s also the place to learn about upcoming community events like happy hours, dinners, online events and the next Backend Services Summit.

The Guild already includes backend engineering leads from most of the major studios including Respawn, Epic, Riot, Activision, Gearbox, Sony, Ubisoft, Netflix, and WB Games and many of the latest and greatest gaming startups (Dreamhaven, Mountaintop, Gardens, Singularity 6, etc.) This core group has been overlooked for so long and the vision of a place for the backend services community to come together has finally been realized.
